LgiLab is gaining momentum! We announced today that Dan Ciporin (former CEO of Shopping.com) 
joined as the lab's Chairman, and Ouriel Ohayon (Internet wiz and Techcrunch.fr editor) as the lab's General Manager. This is very exciting news for us (Gemini Israel Funds and Lightspeed Venture Partners).
Having spent part of the last few days with these guys on the ground in Israel, I can tell you that we have an awesome team!
The idea for LgiLab started when we realized that there are lots of great Israeli entrepreneurs and ideas out there, that are not quite ready for full funding but need to get started right away. Together with Lightspeed, we created a vehicle that would allow us to quickly seed these companies, providing them with expert guidance so that they can get up and running. The lab has come together, and today, with the addition of these great guys, LgiLab offers a super "entrepreneur friendly" solution.
I'm really excited, and looking forward to announcing the first lab deal!
