eSnips closes $2M in Series A funding

This is another one of ours !  I know, we’re not supposed to have favorites (it’s like with kids, you love them all the same), but I *really* like this one!  eSnips is the first one-stop social content sharing site where like-minded members can share any digital content from one central location. eSnips drives people to share, socialize, sell and promote their tastes, hobbies, interests, creative work and other aspects of their professional and personal live online. The service has been gaining more recognition as a key player in the social sharing space, particularly for allowing users to share every file type, not just photos, videos, audio, PDFs, or links. Users can create their own web space with personalized content that they can either share or keep private. Check out their alexa traffic graph– going up, up, up!

Danny Cohen, seeded them awhile back, and today, we announced the closing of an additional $2M together with Greylock Partners. I was actually planning on sharing (via esnips) a terrific video of Danny Cohen, delivering what was an awesome stand-up comedy act, but thought he’d kill me (even though he’s far away)….
